Susan Mark is an 84-year-old grandmother living in Stamford, Connecticut and has spent her life guided by a deep commitment to helping others and supporting the Jewish community. She believes strongly in the Jewish people’s shared responsibility to Israel and has passed this value on to her children and grandchildren.
When considering her legacy, Susan wanted to ensure her values would continue to make a meaningful impact. After visiting Yad Sarah’s Jerusalem headquarters, she was inspired by its mission to provide medical equipment and support to anyone in need, regardless of means. Susan’s sister and granddaughter live with disabilities, so she has a firsthand understanding of the challenges families face when trying to access support and affordable equipment.
Through a planned gift to Yad Sarah, Susan has found a way to extend her lifelong commitment to service. Susan has made a charitable gift from her estate, which allows her to make a meaningful commitment to Yad Sarah, while retaining full access to her assets during her lifetime.
To anyone considering a legacy gift to support Yad Sarah's enduring mission, Susan’s advice is simple: “If you want your gift to go directly toward helping people, Yad Sarah is the place. There’s no question about it.”
