Enabling a Bible Scholar to Visit Israel

At 40 years old, a brilliant Bible scholar and professor was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Despite his diagnosis, the man continued to teach at a prestigious university and work with generations of students.

During the summer, he and his wife would live at their home in Jerusalem, arriving in June and staying until after the holidays. As the man's illness progressed, the couple continued to make their annual visits to Israel.

His nephew explained how the family turned to Yad Sarah for equipment when, as the professor's illness progressed, they borrowed adaptive equipment for mobility and for home care — ranging from a cane to a wheelchair to bath aids — and they met his uncle at the airport with it each year in June.

"Anyone who lives in Israel knows about Yad Sarah," said the man's nephew.

That's our goal! The more everyone knows about Yad Sarah, and supports this vital work, the more we can help.
