Providing a Lifeline to the People of Israel

Yad Sarah's Emergency Hotline is a lifeline for the people of Israel, especially in times of crisis. The center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and any individual in Israel can dial *6444 to connect with a trained volunteer. Yad Sarah volunteer responders are trained to handle stressful situations, including answering calls for help, evacuation requests, reports of injury, and more.

The center is equipped with an oxygen supply and backup power to ensure uninterrupted operation, even during emergencies or blackouts, to connect anyone in need with medical supervision and critical support when needed most.

In 2024, Yad Sarah's Emergency Hotline received 212,263 calls. As a result of counterattacks from Iran, hotline responders answered over 2,200 calls in just 24 hours, including:

• 456 cases of respiratory distress
• 212 cardiac events
• 621 falls on the way to shelters
• 77 calls from people in emotional distress
• 789 urgent medical inquiries
