Providing Help and Hope to Israelis in Need, Every Day of the Year

  • A child who broke her foot borrows crutches
  • An elderly woman is visited at home by volunteer musicians who play for her enjoyment
  • A man in a wheelchair is driven by a volunteer driver to visit his family in a wheelchair-accessible van
  • A terror attack victim finds relief by sharing her experience in a weekly group meeting guided by
    a Yad Sarah social worker
  • A 5-year old boy with cerebral palsy is finally able to walk with the help of a special walker provided by Yad Sarah

Medical Equipment Loans

  • 273,000 loans of medical equipment in the past year to people in need
  • 150 different types of medical equipment, including wheelchairs, breast milk pumps, oxygen concentrators,
    crutches, hospital beds and apnea monitors
  • 92,000 equipment repairs at Yad Sarah’s Equipment Maintenance Centers
  • 5,800 equipment deliveries to homes

Health Care

  • 9,600 treatments through stationary and mobile clinics, and portable kits at our Geriatric Dental Clinics
  • 28,200 visits to Day Rehabilitation Centers in 4 cities
  • 4 branches and 1 traveling exhibit of Guidance and Exhibition Centers
  • 5,000 requests for health and wellness information from Yad Sarah’s Da’at Medical Information service

Home Care

  • 55,000 visits from volunteers to the homebound, coordinated by 21 branches
  • 137,000 trips in 40 vans, 500 requests for transportation per day
  • 107,000 incoming calls from 18,000 subscribers to the Emergency Alarm Service
